FAQs
What do the individuals who come to your Charity get involved in?
We offer a range of activities that are inclusive; we support and enable trainees to get involved in each of the projects, working at their own ability level.
All of our projects are public facing; they sell products and services to members of the public, which in turn supports the on going costs of running the Foundation. Our costs are higher than the Social Care budget allows as we provide much higher support staffing ratios to the trainees.
Do trainees have to pay to come to the Foundation?
Yes, most trainees do pay to attend the projects using their personal budget. We do offer some free places please refer to our Volunteering page.
Please email info@theemilyjordanfoundation.org.uk or telephone 01562 861154 for more details.
If I volunteer will I be given a worthwhile job?
We aim to ensure that all of our volunteers undertake roles that suit them and their abilities. We recruit volunteers for specific roles and they are well supported. All we ask is that you try and come on a regular basis, to ensure that we have continuity for the trainees who attend. We recognise that it may not always be possible for you to be able to attend, but please give us adequate notice if this is the case.
How do I help with fundraising?
We are always looking for new, exciting events to raise much-needed funds to help with the cost of running our charity. If you have any ideas please contact sarah.jordan@theemilyjordanfoundation.org.uk
