ALEX JORDAN'S KILIMANJARO CHALLENGE 2014

On July 5th Alex (accompanied by Chris, who will aim to keep up!) is taking on the challenge of walking up Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for The Emily Jordan Foundation. As many of you are aware Alex has done some amazing things, including:

  1. Walking up Mount Kenya in 2006, raising over £13,000 for Mencap to be put to good use.
  2. Cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats in 2009 to raise money (over £25,000) to help the Foundation buy a Unit.
  3. Cycling from Barcelona to Kidderminster in 2013 to raise money for the Foundation (over £11,000) to start the Twigs project. This is now underway.

This challenge is aimed at raising money to develop the Twigs and Wood-Works projects further, as with the financial squeeze fund raising is even more important for the Foundation to ensure it can continue to help this very disadvantaged group.

Please be aware that all the money raised by this challenge will be given to the charity, as the trip costs have been already covered.

Donations are kindly receved via our JustGiving sponsorship page.
